That's what I'm trying to answer here. A dozen common type 1920x1080 PNG images were used.
JXL KB = 100% and BMP KB = 0%. Lossless JXL/Webp/AVIF/oxiPNG/QOI tested. Anything above 100% means JXL was defeated.(BMP KB-JXL KB)=A | (BMP KB-Xcodec KB)/A= lossless compression relative to JXL losslesscjxl in.png out.jxl -d 0.0 -e 10 --brotli_effort=11 cwebp -lossless -m 6 -q 100 in.png -o out.webp avifenc -l -s 0 --cicp 1/13/16 in.png out.avif oxipng -o 6 in.png qoi "...\in.png" "...\out.qoi"

Sorry @void I forgot today was Father's day and after I got picrel results there were like 10 ways to interpret the results. I settled on a relativity to JXL interpretation and I'm happy with it since it shows diminishing returns better.
Tearing off a whole MB chunk off an image with 0 loss in quality is pretty nice but shaving off a meager 10-20 KB, not so much tbh.

Thanks man. I've been going at it since yesterday but I'm glad it turned out good. Practically speaking maybe this is what people will care about the most. Hell maybe lossless images will be the future if internet speeds keep improving all the time.

AVIF is weird man, sometimes it will give you okay compression and sometimes it loses to fucking PNG. My OP has the parameters I found that apply max AVIF compression.
@void I'm curious man, if this is one of those cucker/soyjack terrorist spammers that use residential proxies, is it possible to defend against that without introducing the IQ test captchas?

Yeah, there are some methods, but it all boils down to cost-effectiveness
