I'm a sucker for modern moe style Anime like Oreimo but recently I have been trying out Serial Experiments Lain since that's becoming more relevant as the internet itself becomes more alien/mysterious in nature (ie it's getting harder to tell if the latest image/video you see is fake or not).

TBH 90s anime may not be my cup of tea but the visual aspect does seem interesting at least. Can't imagine spending forever drawing that by hand.

90s and 2000s. I hate the modern style so much. Its so bland looking to me.

Definitely late 80s to early 00s. Black Lagoon, Cowboy Bebop, Ghost in the Shell, Trigun, DBZ, all had unique and recognizable art styles that while distinctly different, also just aren't seen anymore since the late 2000s. You can see a still image and just know it was made during that timeframe.
